The divine feminine.

The “divine feminine”

I keep seeing this phrase being used
To talk about women
Or sexiness
Or softness

And I think all those things are beautiful.

But I think we are really f*cking up the truth of what the divine feminine actually means.

Because the feminine
Is not pretty, or cute.
It’s not put together, or perfect.
It’s not performed or placed.
It’s not small or compartmentalized.
And it’s also not feisty or feral.

The feminine is the antithesis of perfection.
The antithesis of put together-ness.
The antithesis of being tight, or “snatched”, or a “boss.”

The feminine is f*ckin messy.
She devours.
She destroys.
She does not fall in line with what our society currently deems as sexy, nor as “feminine.”
And she also does not rant about men, or whatever the “problem” is, and then feel entitled to be taken care of.

No.
The feminine is that thing that moves through you.
That thing that you feel, but you can’t explain.
That thing that tells you to do the really stupid decision and you don’t know why and you’re not sure you should trust it.
That thing that lights up when you do your art, or have a magically deep conversation, or have really amazing cosmic s*x.

To be honest,
I have barely scratched the surface of what the “divine feminine” is...
But I know it’s not this pretty, skinny, perfected version of what we think being “feminine” is about.

It is WAYYYYY more uncomfortable than that.

Because this thing inside us- this messy, intuitive, unpredictable force within us..
Is the very thing that has been stripped from everything we know to be good, or successful, or acceptable.

So, to be with it,
Is a f*cking reckoning.
